Explore Our Farm

Our Farm is an on-going love story and is ever growing and improving. We have 23 Chickens, 2 Dogs, 2 Cats, and 5000 bulbs of garlic to plant. On our property you might also be able to catch a glimpse of Roosevelt Elk, Black Bears, and Bald Eagles. You can purchase fresh eggs and garden produce to enhance your culinary farm stay experience.

Mt. H’Kusam and Bill’s Trail

Sayward is known for the annual event of the H’kusam Klimb and the trail network is available to the public year round as long as weather conditions allow for it. The 8-hour return trip to the summit (peak at 5,261 feet) will reward you with sweeping views of the area, including the Village of Sayward and Kelsey Bay, as well as the Salmon River estuary and wildlife reserve.

World Class Fishing

The Salmon River and the White River are amongst the top Steelhead Salmon fly-fishing rivers on Vancouver Island. Our mile of private river access and sandy beaches gives our guests direct access to prime casting grounds. The Sayward Valley is a paradise destination for anglers from all over the world for its mountain trout-bearing lakes and famous Steelhead Salmon river fishing.

The Village of Sayward and Kelsey Bay

Less than 15 minutes away on a picturesque drive from our property, the Village of Sayward and Kelsey Bay are an absolute-must to take in the views. Spend some time walking the scenic Working Water Front Trail, the Estuary Trail or the boat-ramp ocean access walk. Catch a glimpse of the marine traffic moving up and down Johnston Strait, or join them by launching your own boat.

Our Recreational River

In the summer months our guests can launch kayaks, canoes, paddle-boards, or tubes to float the Salmon River. Swimming is prime on our private sandy beaches that are only a short walk from the farm through our forest.

Winter Sports

We are only 1 hour and 15 minutes away Mount Cain and one of the last accommodations available before arriving at the rural alpine resort. At Mount Cain, snow enthusiasts can enjoy down-hill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The Sayward area is also well known for its backcountry snowmobiling. We recommend to always check road conditions for safe travels in the Winter.
